René Rogge

is originally from a small town in Saxony, who someone used to say about »is good for hiking if you are old«. Over the years he published many short stories, mostly about »supporting actors« of the wonderful story of life. In 2015, his first Graphic Novel »Plus Minus Null« was released, a book about self-reflection and lethargy. It became finalist of the »Comicbuchpreis der Berthold Leibinger Stiftung« the same year. He works and lives in Kassel.

Isabel Seliger

is an artist and illustrator with a special preference for quiet and epic worlds.
She published two booklets through Rotopolpress and has contributed in several anthologies as well as group exhibitions around the globe. Her clients include The New York Times, NPR, HarperCollins and The California Sunday Magazine. Isabel Seliger lives and works as a freelancer in Berlin, Germany.

Anne Simon

Anne SimonAnne Simon was born in 1980 and studied at the École des Beaux-Arts in Angoulême and at the École Nationale des Arts Décoratifs in Paris. In 2004, she was awarded the Young Talent Prize at the Festival International de la Bande Dessinée in Angoulême. Anne Simon is very active in the French independent publishing house MISMA, where she has already published several books of her own and for whose anthology Dopututto Max she regularly writes short stories. Her works appear regularly in newspapers, magazines and in the form of picture books. For more than ten years, she has been writing and drawing the saga of the land of Marylène in which she skillfully weaves social issues into epic narratives with strong protagonists.

Alice Socal

Alice SocalAlice Socal wurde 1986 in Venedig geboren. Sie begann ihr Studium in Illustration und Comic an der Kunst Akademie von Bologna und beendete dieses bei Anke Feuchtenberger und Stefano Ricci an der HAW in Hamburg. Sie zeichnet gerne kurze GIF-Animationen für ihren Tumblr-Blog und lebt und arbeitet als Illustratorin in Hamburg.

Ihre Kurzgeschichten wurden in mehreren Magazinen wie Two Fast Colour, Beautox und Spring veröffentlicht, sowie in den Anthologien vom Mami Verlag und des italienischen Verlags G.I.U.D.A., bei dem 2011 auch ihr erstes Buch LUKE erschien. Sandro ist ihre erste Veröffentlichung bei Rotopol. 2015 ist das Buch bereits auf italienisch bei Eris Edizioni erschienen und wurde bei den Comic Festivals in Treviso und Bologna mit Ausstellungen präsentiert.

MIKKEL SOMMER

Mikkel Sommer was born in 1987 und grew up in Denmark. He has been working on comics, children‘s books, illustration and cartoons since 2009. He lives with author Anna Rakhmanko and their daughter in Athens and Berlin.

Sebastian Stamm

Sebastian Stamm

Sebastian Stamm was born in Naila in Upper Frankonia in 1983. He is living and working as a game designer, illustrator and comic book artist in Berlin. Since his childhood he has been interested in machines, robots and unique fictional characters.

You can find all that in his very first book release Leschek’s Flug. This comic book is also his final thesis at the School of Art and Design Kassel. There he studied illustration, animation and visual communications. In 2013 he passed his studies in comic and illustration with distinction. He his co-founder and creative director of the indie game studio Black Pants Studio, wher he also co-developed the multi awarded computer game Tiny & Big: Grandpa’s Leftovers. As an illustrator he was amongst others responsible for the extraordinary visual style of the game, the characters and the game environment.

Sebastian Stamm enjoys cosy bars, hearty food and the Frankonian forest.

Linda Schwalbe

is a freelance illustrator based in Leipzig. She studied Illustration and Communication Design at the Burg Giebchenstein Halle and at the Universität der Künste in Berlin. She creates illustrations for picture books, comics, publications and she also works as a teacher from time to time. Among other distinctions, her work has been recognised with the Serafina Award for Illustration from the german Academy of Children & Young Adult Literature. She loves to see illustration as a chance to dive into new topics, get carried away into adventures and find inspiration in music & nature. She loves to work analogically, especially with acrylics.

MALWINE STAUSS

was born in Dresden in 1993. After living in Denmark and Albania, she began her studies at the University of Graphics and Book Art in Leipzig in 2013, which she completed in 2019 with her book “Witches” as a diploma project. Her work moves between illustration, painting and comic. She is part of the SQUASH collective, which she founded together with three friends. Malwine lives and works in Leipzig.

Quentin Vijoux

Quentin VijouxQuentin Vijoux, geboren 1983, wuchs im 20. Arrondissement von Paris auf. In Paris studierte er auch Visuelle Kommunikation, zunächst an der ÉSAA Duperré, anschließend an der École Estienne. Seitdem arbeitet er als freier Illustrator für die Werbung und die internationale Presse.

Seine Illustrationen und Comics erscheinen unter anderem in der New-York Times, in Télérama, revue XXI oder im Playboy. Eugène ist sein Buch-Debüt als Comiczeichner. Es wurde beim Pariser Independent-Verlag Michel Lagarde erstveröffentlicht.

Quentin Vijoux interessiert sich neben Comics für Typografie, kleine Insekten, Franz Kafka, Taï-chi, Videospiele und alte Science-Fiction-Filme.
