After five years of Rotopol, we go back to our roots. in 2008 the very first exhibition of London based illustrator Matthieu Bessudo aka Mcbess took place here in Kassel at Rotopol. Since those days a lot has happened. Today Mcbess is one of the most famous names in illustration. In his surrealist pieces he manages to combine contemporary pop and sub culture quotes with influences from old cartoons like those of Max and Dave Fleischer. The result is a vital universe full of cheese and meat, guitars, amps, bearded men and tattooed beauties.

In Bones & Tones Mcbess presents new work as well as exclusive screenprints and features pieces by Ugo GattoniKoa  and Clément b.

Show opening on:
August 17 to September 26, 2012
at Rotopol
Friedrich-Ebert-Str. 95 in Kassel
