was born in Berlin in 1986 and studied illustration at the University of Art and Design in Halle an der Saale. Nino’s first comic book “Im Land der Frühaufsteher”, a report on the struggles of refugees in Saxony-Anhalt, was published in 2012 by avant Verlag. Since then, Nino has been working as a freelance illustrator and comic artist in Berlin. After two longer stays in Algiers, their poetic travel report “Lichtpause” was published by Rotopol in 2017. Shorter works have appeared in anthologies and magazines, including “Samandal”, “Kus” and “Strapazin”. Nino’s work has been shown in numerous exhibitions and festivals, most recently in the Brandenburg State Museum for Modern Art. Their latest book “Bruchlinien. Drei Episoden zum NSU” was published in 2019 in collaboration with Anne König at Spector Books. Until 2020 Nino published under the name Paula Bulling.
