rOtring the pencil-blacksmith from Hamburg with a long tradition went for a product makeover and re-launched their classic 600- and 800-mechanical pen series. There’s also the new rOtring Sketch-On App available and an online shop at www.rotring.com. On their blog under the label Create Reality they post an ongoing series of video portraits and interviews with creative professionals, like Mcbess:
There was little mix-up when we uploaded Mcbess prints: The merman print is not €75.00 but €100.00 instead! Everyone who ordered a print already can be lucky for making quite a bargain. And as we want all big giclée- and screenprints to arrive safely at your door, we have to wrap them properly. For that reason we had to mark the shipping costs for these prints up a bit.
Happy birthday to us! Rotopolpress is 5! Unbelievable! Actually the birthday was already in May. May 11th, 2007 was the big day when we opened Rotopol and started to publish. But were quite busy in the past weeks so that it took us until now to let you know about the birthday. As a present we bought us some new shop furniture. Thanks to all of you, who supported us over the past years! We’re looking forward to the next 5 years with you.

Everyone who wasn’t able to make it from Vienna, Salzburg or Graz to Kassel yet due to the long distance, can now order our comics, illustration books and non-book products directly in Austria at Pictopia Comics in Vienna.
Yesterday we got to present our work as illustrators and publishers at Rotopolpress at the University of Applied Sciences Dusseldorf and we had the opportunity to talk with the students about their current projects. Many thanks to the class of Thomas Wellmann and Max Fiedler for taking this picture.
